So glad I got to spend quality time with my Frye Leadership Institute 2009 friends (now Leading Change Institute). That includes Rae, Scott and Ellen. Had a great time at The Kitchen in Denver. Thanks Educause for getting us together.
On Oct 26, 2018 I am pleased to spend my afternoon with the University of Denver ASIS&T student chapter and the Department of Research Methods and Information Science and will give a talk entitled Collaborating for Student Success. The talk is in slides.com and can be viewed online at:
This week I am at The Research Data Access and Preservation (RDAP) Summit in Chicago, IL. Great to see such a diverse group and to catch up with old friends. Looking forward to seeing which new logo gets the most votes.
See more on twitter (@RDAPsummit).
This last week we held the first of three forums on 3D/VR in libraries sponsored by IMLS and held in Arlington, VA at the Virginia Tech Research Center. This was a fun event and was so good to work with my colleagues from VaTech, University of Oklahoma and many more…
Thanks to all of my colleagues for their support of this wonderful project!
I am glad to be at #edu17 this week doing a poster today on @iulibraries#Imago specimen repository. That is today at 12:45 in Exhibit Hall A-C Level 200 in the Philadelphia Convention Center. See poster. See below where I am putting up my poster. Thanks to Kent from@ucmerced for the assist.
This morning I got to hear Michio Kaku the futurist. He had some interesting things to say about the 4th Wave of Technology. I want to be a full time futurist too.
The Office of Scholarly Publishing, along with the Scholarly Communication Department and the Teaching and Learning Department, will feature several events during the week aimed at faculty, postdocs, graduate and undergraduate students.
This week I am in DC for the APTrust Member Meeting. We are being hosted by the Georgetown University Libraries in Lauinger Library. A great view of the potamac from our window. Lots of discussion and lots of talk about scaling services over time and possible new partnerships. Great discussions.
