The closing keynote at this year’s ACRL Conference is my hero Lawrence Lessig. I really took alot away from his talk, namely that of government and the ways in which it is corrupted by different types of influences. He mentioned his grassroots group rootstrikers – http://www.rootstrikers.org and talked a bit about how his book Code and Other Laws of Cyberspace has been proven correct so far in how privacy intersects with online community.
Yesterday I was in Austin, TX to give the closing keynote for the ER&L 2015 Conference. I hated that I could not get to town sooner to take in more of the conference. Especially, the big discovery panel and the talk from Marshall Breeding (open source central index – now that is a cool idea). However, I did get into town (sans luggage) to give the closing keynote and I had a blast. Below are my slides from the talk and I will work to put up the full stream soon.
I will get to attend the exciting new conference Designing for Digital (#Design4Lib) happening today and will have more on that event soon at this blog.
